Mini Jon’s First Test Flight

Mini Jon is a 3D printed model of our very own Director of Human Spaceflight, Jon Spooner. He has rather taken on a life of his own these days and is determined to get into space, preferably to the International Space Station (ISS) to hang out with our patron Tim Peake.

Jon took some young UNSA cadets and Mini Jon to Cardington Hangers for the first stage of his astronaut training, a test flight into (nearly) space at 27,000m. We’ve storified it for you below…
